General terms of use

1. Purpose and scope

These General Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the revvo.eu showcase website, the app.revvo.eu booking application and the Revvo mobile applications (together, the “Service”), published by REVVO FRANCE, a SARL with share capital of €1,000, whose registered office is in Lannoy (59390), France, SIREN 988 757 225, VAT number FR47 988 757 225 (“Revvo”). The Service enables users to book premium vehicle hire, either self-drive or with a driver, and associated concierge services. Every booking entails unreserved acceptance of these Terms.

2. User account

A booking requires an account, created using an email address and password (minimum 6 characters, with email confirmation required) or through Apple. When registering, you provide your first name, surname, phone number, date of birth, gender, nationality, full address and email address. You warrant that this information is accurate and undertake to keep it up to date; in particular, it is used to verify whether you meet the hire eligibility requirements. Your account is personal and your login details are confidential. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see the privacy policy).

3. Driver requirements

Each vehicle states a minimum driver age, which is checked against your profile when you book: if you do not meet the age requirement, the booking is blocked. On the day of collection, the driver must present their original, valid driving licence (no copy or photograph will be accepted) and a valid identity card or passport. If all required documents, the outstanding balance and the security deposit are not provided, the vehicle cannot be handed over and no refund of the booking deposit shall be due.

4. Booking

You select a collection location, dates and an option (self-drive or with a driver). Before any payment, a summary itemises every element of the price: the base price, any supplements (second driver, delivery), booking fees, included mileage, insurance, the deposit due today, the outstanding balance and the security deposit amount. The total confirmed in this summary shall be binding. Once the booking deposit has been paid, the booking is created with the status “awaiting confirmation”: the hire company contacts you to finalise it, and a booking contract (reference, contract number and issue date) is made available to you. The dates and collection location may be changed before confirmation, subject to availability.

5. Price and payment

Prices are stated in euros. Online payments are processed securely by Stripe. A booking deposit of 30% of the total amount is charged at the time of booking; this deposit is non-refundable. The balance is due: (i) on the day of collection for self-drive hire; (ii) no later than 7 days before the service for chauffeur-driven bookings. If the balance is not paid by the applicable deadline, the booking is cancelled and Revvo retains the booking deposit. The Revvo Pass programme (a prepaid 5% discount) is refundable to the original payment method until the deadline stated at the time of purchase.

6. Security deposit

The security deposit amount is stated for each vehicle before booking. The security deposit is not charged through the Service: it is paid directly to the hire company on collection using a method it accepts (cash, bank transfer, card pre-authorisation, banker’s cheque or deposit of a vehicle). It is returned after the vehicle return inspection, less any sums that may be due (damage, excess mileage or missing fuel). Chauffeur-driven bookings do not require a security deposit.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel without an additional fee up to 48 hours before departure; any sums paid in excess of the booking deposit will then be refunded. The 30% booking deposit paid at the time of booking is retained by Revvo in all circumstances. Under Article L221-28, paragraph 12, of the French Consumer Code, car hire and leisure services supplied on a specified date do not benefit from the 14-day right of withdrawal.

8. Use of the vehicle

Collection involves checking the documents, payment of the balance and security deposit, a jointly agreed vehicle condition report and signature of the contract; a return condition report concludes the hire. Each hire includes the mileage stated at booking (or unlimited mileage, depending on the vehicle); if this allowance is exceeded, the excess is charged at the stated per-kilometre rate and automatically added to the final amount. The vehicle must be used with due care, in accordance with road traffic law and the hire contract provided by the hire company. For chauffeur-driven services, fuel and tolls are included.

9. Insurance

Each vehicle is offered with an insurance package specified before booking: basic third-party liability, mini omnium or full omnium, as applicable. The precise scope of cover, excesses and exclusions is set out in the vehicle details and the hire contract provided on collection.

10. Personal data

The processing of your personal data (account, bookings, payment, geolocation for address searches, audience measurement and marketing attribution) is described in the privacy policy. You may exercise your rights or request deletion of your account by writing to info@revvo.eu.

11. Liability

Revvo connects users with partner hire companies and endeavours to ensure the availability and accuracy of information on the Service, but cannot guarantee this absolutely. Revvo shall not be held liable for damage arising from use of the vehicle contrary to the hire contract, inaccurate information provided by the user or an event of force majeure.

12. Amendments to the Terms

Revvo may amend these Terms at any time. The applicable version is the version in force on the booking date; the current version is published permanently on this page.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory provisions of the consumer’s country of residence. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution shall be sought first; the consumer may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator or use the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Failing this, proceedings shall be brought before the competent courts.
